THE LIONS PAVILION
GLANCE AT THE PEARL OF THE ORIENT

No visit to Hong Kong is complete without experiencing the awe-inspiring night view from The Peak. You may have seen countless photos showcasing its breathtaking beauty, but few tell you where to find the best spot. Look no further than the Lions Pavilion.

The Lions Pavilion is the perfect location for an unparalleled view of the harbour

Hong Kong's night view, known as the Pearl of the Orient, is one of the world's most beautiful sights. Not only is it a magnificent cityscape, but it's also free of charge, making it a must-see for any traveler. The view will captivate you, and you'll feel like you have the Lord of the Rings in your hands.

A traditional Chinese-style pavilion

Don't just stare at the skyscrapers, though. Take the time to appreciate the Lions Pavilion itself. Built in traditional Chinese style, the pavilion features all the traditional elements, including stone lions, moon arches, and green tiles. Every detail counts.

While you're there, keep an eye out for rickshaws occasionally passing by the pavilion. The driver pulls a two-wheeled vehicle carrying one passenger with their bare hands. Although rickshaws have been superseded by automobiles, they remain a popular prop for photos. Start your journey at The Peak and follow Findlay Road to find the Lions Pavilion.

Interesting history of the Lions Pavilion

The Lions Pavilion is just one of nine throughout Hong Kong donated by the Hong Kong Lion Club. The club's name symbolizes perseverance and is reminiscent of the Lion Rock across the harbour. Each pavilion has its unique nuances and built in traditional style. Don't miss the opportunity to explore them all.

Can you count all the stone lions at the Lions Pavilion?
