SAI KUNG TOWN
EMBRACING SLOW LIVING IN SAI KUNG

Seafood Street

Located in the eastern reaches of Hong Kong, the vibrant yet serene coastal town of Sai Kung is often seen as a transit point for numerous expeditions. However, the town itself is a treasure trove of attractions that should not be overlooked.

As you meander through the boulevards of Sai Kung, the enticing aroma of fresh seafood fills the air. Fishermen selling their catch from bobbing boats or makeshift roadside stalls are a common sight. Fishermen have lived in Sai Kung since the 14th century, and this promenade is considered a gastronomic pilgrimage spot, attracting many with its freshly caught delicacies.

After choosing from an array of shrimps, shellfish, squids, or crabs, you can take your selection to nearby restaurants where skilled chefs will transform them into delectable dishes. Alternatively, you're also welcome to bring your own catch. People like to enjoy seafood restaurants right on the main street facing the sea!

The trend of slow living has caught on amongst the younger generation, many of whom seek an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Sai Kung offers numerous relaxing spots, one of my favorites being Little Cove Espresso. This European-style café serves light meals accompanied by a cup of robust Americano, a combination that never fails to brighten my day!
